Brief
Comments: This is a site that
students can use when doing work involving map, flags, and information about
different countries. I really like
this site because students can find a lot of information at one site.
You can also print many different types of maps (trail maps, topographic
maps, and National Geographic magazine maps).
This is only the beginning to this site.

wide range of activities for the novel Treasure Island.
It gives the teacher a week-by-week guideline for instruction.
This site also offers pages you print out for your students. I have used this in my class and it works great.
However, I do use other resources along with the information provided on
this page to complete my unit.

Description:
Ten
terrific classroom activities that use the newspaper to teach all sorts of
valuable skills, including reading and writing for meaning, map reading, media
literacy, sequencing, word meaning, and math.
Brief
Comments: This site will give
teacher many different topics to teach during a unit on newspapers.
One nice thing is that you could adapt these lessons to all grade levels.
One down fall is that it does not teach the different parts of the
newspaper. You will have to make
your own lesson if you wish to teach the terminology of the newspaper.
